I love the idea of giving yourself time to explore a slower lifestyle. My first job was as a photographic printer and I sometimes idly consider setting up a darkroom in my house. Unfortunately, I'm not a terribly good photographer, but I was a good print-maker back in the day. I still love the smell of fixer! (Weird I know). Also, I made your chicken soup last night and it was delicious.

I love the idea of an in-house darkroom. We have an unfinished basement that I've also considered for that purpose, but I'm letting the professionals handle my silly garden photos for now ;)

So glad to hear you made the soup!! It is like my 'soft re-set' meal, and generally puts things back to right.

It’s always good to have a hobby, especially if you can let go of self-judgment while you’re figuring out what you’re doing (not my forte!). Photography, especially with a darkroom, is a wonderful vocation. You have just the right attitude. I hope you share some of your pictures when you’re ready.

Thanks also for the excellent links, all fascinating, and for the great recipe which might be just what the doc would order once we get back from our travels and finally return to sensible eating habits (I hope!).
